Alert: New rw6828 RUU cause my machine DEAD!

I have a HP rw6828 as my second PPC.
I read the following thread and download the new version of RUU from HP's official web site.

it starts ok, but when the updating progress is nearly 90%, the hpRUU.exe jump out a Fatal Error window telling that it has to stop!
I kept waiting for about 30mins the screens no change, both my Laptop and PPC.
I pulled out the USB cable, the PPC's screen kept on as no change. I insert the USB cable and run hpRUU.exe again, it seemed like "searching" sth and finally the same Fatal Error occur.
I pulled out USB again, and poke the reset hole, it turned down and, never turn up again! no matter what I do, press the power button, or the hard-reset combination, the screen just keep purely dark.
Is this so-called a BRICK?
Just inform those who want upgrade your 6828, make sure you are ready before you brick it~~~
