i.Tech Clip R35 stereo BT headset - lots of noise!

Greetings

I replaced my SE HBH-DS970 with an iClip R35 because I wanted to use my own earbuds (Shure). Now I find that when I use stereo Bluetooth on my TyTN with the iClip to listen to music, there is a very irritating high pitched noise, almost to say distortion that almost ruins the whole thing.

I don't get any skipping like I did with the SE headset (at least not when using the "high" quality registry setting).

Wondering if this is a TyTN or iClip issue...

I had the same problem with my blueant X5 stereo's as well. no skipping but high pitched distortion.

Its not the BT headphones, its the Hermes.

Luckily i returned mine and got my money back as there was no point having them.

Lets hope we can port the Widcomm bluetooth stack to the hermes.....as the M$ stack sucks...

Get Sleuths A2DP fix and use hermes tweaker and set A2DP to excellent. Works great with HBH-DS970.

Sigh, known problem on this headset unfortunately. There's another thread on this issue here.

Funny but the R35 works great with my prophet/etymotic combo. I use iplay as the media player. I have the bitpool at 51.

I replaced HTC ROM 1.18 with South African ROM 1.35 on my TyTN and noticed that sound quality played through i.Tech R35 worsen. Applying fit4cat Hermes Tweaker didn't help much (just enabled stereo). Is anybody else experiencing the same? Any suggestions how to solve this problem? I've tried to set bitpool to 51, this reduced the high pitch distorion but didn't eliminate it. So, can anybody propose a different solution?

In addition to my previouse posting I want to add my recent obserbation. In my previouse posting I noticed that after I upgraded the ROM of my TyTN the quality of sound detiriorated. At that time I tested sound using regular replaced standard headsets that came along with R35. BUT after I replaced them with Etymotic earbuds the quality substantially improved. And what's more imposrtant I don't hear high pitched distortions anymore. I used bitpool 51. So for those who experience this problem with higр pitch distortion perhaps it's worth trying different headsets.

I saw MSI bluetooth player on the back of my iTech so I did a search and low and behold I found the following:

Sound quality is excellent although you have to use the player and it is very basic. The volume controls are the only ones supported in this altered version, the latest MSI release does handle pause, next and previous but it is limited to a 30 second play time for non-MSI devices. Look through the thread and you may spy a solution.
