Delay on Wakeup

I know this sort of been covered before, but I can't seem to find the answer.
If I have my Mini SD Card in the Trinity. When I press the power button to wake up the device, there is a slight delay, about 1 - 2 seconds before the device actually wakes up.

Now, if I take the Mini SD Card out, then the device wakes up instantaneously. I read that the Mini SD Card is also going to a sleep state and takes time to wake up, and device could be monitoring the card before it actually wakes up.

Can I disable the card monitoring, or is there another reason for this delay. I never had problems like this on my old devices (Mini S, SPV m600 and XDA Orbit). This card was bought on Ebay, so could it be a dodgy card?

Hopefully someone can help, although the delay is not long, its just annoying!!
