To make this application even better I suggest that you could add in the following features.

1. To have option to disable bottom tray icon. Some people including me prefer not to have the bottom tray icon.

2. To include disconnection from GPS data connection after some time of inactivity. This also can help to prolong battery life. I know other program such as phoneAlarm can do this but why install some many program in PDA.
Ok, no problem.
GPS data connection or GPRS data connection?

This is a great little program. Thanks for the update. You keep this up and you will need to put a version number on the zip file LOL.

To make it more clear:

- I have BandSwitch enabled and AutoSwitch timeout at 5 mins to GPRS.
- I surf the web using UMTS. I quit surfing. Put the phone in my pocket.
- 5 minutes later, the Auto Switch invokes Flight mode to drop to GPRS.
- On radio restart, for those with SIM lock, it will ask for PIN code.
- If it's in my pocket then the phone is essentially "OFF" until I enter the PIN code.

Thus will require manual intervention to enter PIN code to go into GPRS mode.

Another reason why invoking Flight Mode for this purpose is not a good idea.

Just a thought.
Yes. This is a problem for those with SIM lock. The only way documented to refresh the data configuration from registry is turning the radio off and it makes enter ping necesarily. I will try to make this app enter the ping automatically......

Dude... you are awsome. I was having trouble with my 3G signal at home and your program corrected that. It was working fine on 2G.

Once again, a big huge thanks!!

Default new version

Ok, new version ready with some changes (not all).
1) The file is cab installer. Copy it into pda and click it. It let you install and uninstall. Please, if the app is running close it and delete manually the link on \windows\startup folder. The installer put a link in startup and programs directories
2) There is a check box to set if you want the tray icon or not.
2) The configuracion parameteres (switch back to gsm or auto and Tray Icon visible on/off) are saved and read from registry so you dont need to select theses paremeters each time you reset the device.

Pending things:
1) Close idle RAS connections (by configuration, yes/no, minutes without data transfer to close it, wake up or not the device to check the states).
2) Not pin necesary for those with pin check.

Hey, this is good stuff. Not the initial novelty of HSDPA has worn off, I realise the battery life penalty. This is ideal to switch back to GSM when 3G isnt required (and thats most of the time). Looking forward to seeing how much longer this can extend my battery.

Thanks a lot for you hard work putting it together.
