WM6/Crossbow Prophet Info

Hi,

To stop all the questions/threads/shouting for links.

NO WM6/Crossbow stuff on the XDA FTP server, it will be removed as per M$ legal departments request.

To stop the gossip:

1. Yes, the ROM in doing "the round" with some prophet ROM maker(s)
2. No, I will not (yet) upload a WM6/Crossbow ROM on the FTP server
3. Yes, I will release a proper(ish) WM6 Crossbow ROM in English for the prophet at some point in time.

A general warning, there are versions out there that will brick your phone if you don't know what you are doing.
If you want to "risk it" fine, but don't come crying when it goes wrong.
Better wait for a proper "prophet wm6 beta release" coming soon

Ok, info:

- the WWE version going around (yes the orwell version) works on the prophet but has the following problems (i'm still checking so this list will get bigger)

1. No audio
2. The screen setup is in landscape mode (you can switch to portrait after the setup)
3. no ext. rom installation (it doesn't start even after hard reset)
4. you need to have activesync 4.5 for it to work (beta 2 avaiable on ms site here)

5. battery problem, it doesnt charge nor does it know anything about the battery status.
6. no camera software
7. buttons are mapped wrong
8. screen goes to landscape after softreset

I can confirm you can go back to another ROM and it doesn't "mess up" or lock your radio ROM (using the orwell version)

Hi Jester! I have a G4 prophet now I have a few questions.

1. Is there any Crossbow rom at the moment that will work on the Prophet?
2. Does the Prophet have to be CID-Unlocked to work with Crossbow
3. Is it possible to CID-Unlock a G4 Prophet?

1. yes (with problems...but might be fixable)
2. can't verify right now, but looking at it, looks like it needs to be unlocked
3. yes, for now using a pay service, people are working on a free solution, but that will take time.

Ok to be a little more specific, is there already a crossbow rom available? or are you working on one and is there a possible release from you in the near future..

I mean, I have downloaded a few roms, and I'm a little bit afraid to try them all..

Ok got it working now, on a G4 CID-LOCKED!! Prophet I used the CopyToFFS methode instead of the Update-NoId tool! Damn it's hot!! got some problems with sound but I think Jester will fix this all for us! good night all!

yep theres no need for cid unlock on a g4 model , working for me too

Well pals ur brave And did you try to downgradge yet?Is there some radio lock now? I did'nt try this cause i have some casses to think that 3.5 rom is coming soon
