Make System Text Bold?

Is there anyway to make System Text, such as contact names in search, text messages etc BOLD to help my failing eyesight?

kevwright: try the app CETuner. It will allow you to make and test themes right on your device. You should be able to make a nice high contrast theme and change the font metrics etc.

Thanks, although what I really need is a pair of those glasses
