Just empty data values-thats normal during first start!

Activate the port and give your hermes about 30min with clear vue to the sky, it should load first the almanach and then the ephemerisdata...

Hi,
as SaarAvigour noted, I just think that now we have the module that can control the GPS chipset/antenna....but we now need some sort of OS interface (rilgsm.dll & co.) to deal with it, because in the os there is not any serial port called Com9 as stated in the Trinity threads.

Default lets try something

Sun, try to enable COM 9 by the little CAB I uploaded here. Just run it on the device, it should allow you to access any COM port.
Attached Files
File Type: zip wm5fix.zip (126.1 KB, 650 views)

Sun75, again I must state that I have no related technical background, however in simple man phrasing, I got an interface via the SatNav application, settings/gps/settings. It may be a bit different with each SatNav app, but the principle should be the same,

Can those files from the Trinity ROM be used to create this interface, or are they that device specific that those files will not work on a TyTN? Since the chips they have to control are identical, I think that the Trinity files can be used for our TyTNs...

You might also need to assign the GPS to COM9 using these settings:
To hide or show the GPS connection in the connections panel
The settings are at 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\GPS Settings'
The 'Hide' DWORD value should be deleted to show the panel and 'x' to hide the panel
The 'Group' DWORD value should be set to '2' to show the panel and deleted to hide the panel
For example, to show the GPS connection in the connectionss panel

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\GPS Settings\Hide is deleted
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\GPS Settings\Group = 2
