Default When fetching mail I have to keep entering my password

I checked off save password in the email account setup. I'm using .mac for my email. Whenever it goes out for my mail it asks me to enter my password, I usually have to enter it at least 3 times before it actually will connect and get my email. Even if I try and send email from this account it asks a few times for my password before it actually sends the email. I've deleted my account and started over, but the same things keeps happening. I just want to fetch my mail with not interaction from me,lol.

When I setup my aol mail I didn't use the AOl from the list of ac****s (if I did it would never work), I used imap/pop and it works fine now. It doesn't ask for a password.

My .mac is the most important, anyone know a way to get my password to stay saved? So everytime it gets my mail, or I try to send a mail I don't have to enter my password around 3 times?

Am I the only one experiencing this? Any workarounds?

Got anything odd in your password? Like spaces or punctuation?

no, it's actually the same exact password as my aol account. That never asks for a password, only my .mac asks.
