Default WM6 Upgrade using Windows Vista

I've tried to upgrade my Wizard to last version of Faria ROM, but can't do it with Windows Vista. Now i'm running WM6 yet, but last time upgraded with XP box.

Is there any way to get this working? For my Hermes, i can put the drivers for boot mode from ActiveSync 4.5 and RUU works with Vista, but when i execute the upgrade soft for Wizard version 2.5.2, gives me an error like this:

Notice : don't install Virtual PC 2007, it don't support USB.

Thanks for the reply. I do this in the past (recent past jeje) but VMWare for Vista is still in beta fase, and give me same problems with the USB drivers.

I was thinking in RUU soft that works for Vista.

Thanks anyway

You try install Parallels on Vista (i using this Virtual Machine), good work to me. USB no problem. However, first, You must uncheck USB on Windows Mobile Center on Vista.

Default You can use pdocwrite.exe in Vista

I flashed OS only against stock T-Mobile 2.26 using pdocwrite.exe in Vista. See this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613 it will refer you to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293480. That one intros shelltool which is just a wrapper for pdocwrite.exe. It's part of itsme's awesome suite of low-level hacking tools available here: http://www.xs4all.nl/~itsme/projects/xda/tools.html

I didn't use the shelltool since I already had pdocwrite.exe. It's really fairly simple to do it either way.
