Default Camera just "vanishes?"

I've got a 3125 and after doing a reset "clear memory" the other day, the phone acts like it has no camera. "Pictures and Video" doesn't give a "take new photo" option, and if I go in through MMS and choose "capture picture" it just tosses me back to the pictures and video app.

Is it just a coincidence on hardware, or should I hva esomehow screwed this up in software?

Thanks!

Does the shortcut button for the camera on the left hand side work?

Sounds like it could be a hardware issue but we need more info - which ROM are you using, etc...

I'm running the bone-stock Cingular ROM (latest version according to their/htc support site and the DST fix.CAB that cingular put out.

Performed a "reset memory" as well as a re-flash of the phone and the camera app is gone. hitting the external camera button just takes me to "pictures and videos."

Even tried flash up to the new 'test' Cingular ROM with no change in behaviour.

Sounds like a hardware issue then. I would get it back to Cingular for repair/replacement.
