today we have a new version of wlm from microsoft , it is a new beta version but we have a problem , if we use some rom with wlm inclused in it , it' impossible to use it , because when installing the file will ask us to uninstall the old version , so we need to a new rom without wlm

because the old version is in rom and not in main memory

Best bet is to email the maker of the ROM and let him or her know, so next time he or she releases a ROM it'll be updated.

How about if you install the CAB to a WM5 ROM and extract the files off there manually, then reinstall the WM6 ROM and paste all the files to the Windows folder to replace the old ones? Of course it will not survive a hard reset, you will have to use a backup program for that.

i think it's impossible to do because should know where are all of the files and keys so i don't think if doing simply a copy it will work .

I installed the new one over the one in ROM (arifqur) and it works fine.

Just delete the Key HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows live... and reinstall with the new beta... WORKS!!!

Files taken from a WM6 rom with a newer WLM version included and a cab file created for it. How can I tell... it has the same date/time stamps for the altered files when I created it LOL

There is, however, a new Beta released by microsoft...It was released on 2 April
