WIFI SUspension

helloooo.....i hope u guys can resolve my issue w/ a registry edit or something because i have tried almost EVERYTHING...neways, at times i like to leave my wifi on (because i don't have the data plan) sooo only turn my screen off to do so....however i turn the screen off and then i turn it back on after a few minutes and wifi is gone!!!!! it makes me sooo mad....on my old hp jornada, wen i used to turn off the screen, wifi would stay connected forever (well actually unless i turn the ppc off) so if some1 could plz help me w/ this, i WOULD APPRECIATE THIS SOOOO MUCH....just a way to keep wifi from suspending!!! thnx...~kareem


so basically i don't want wifi to suspend....let it run forever and idc about the battery

I will not use the wi-fi connection in the way you mentioned because of my utter urge to conserve battery power but there is a key in the registry HKLM\Comm\TNETWLN1\Parms\HTCAutoOffWifiTime with a DWORD value of 20000 try increasing this value and see what happens??

Please do make a backup of this whole key before playing arond with it to much. I stuffed the whole Wi-Fi of my Wizard once til such an extend where I had to Hard-Reset to get the Wi-Fi going again..

kool thnx...i put some huge random number...i'll c wat happens..however i juss want a reg edit that wont suspend wifi wen my screen is off or my screensaver is on..thnx
