WM6 sound problems

Hi,
I upgraded my O2 XDA Exec to Jwrightmcps Crossbow ROM 2.01.06 without any problem. The only issue is poor sound with ringtones (I copied them in main memory, not using SD card) and TomTom6 (voice is "bumping" every 2-3 seconds when I get directions).
What should I do to solve the issue ?

There is a fix for this which you 'should' have found in a search, but since I'm drunk and feeling rather lowly for a change, I will post it for you.

May I add that I apologise for all cos I know I haven't been much help as an arrogant twat sometimes, hopefully you've seen through this though.
