Wired Headset not working

Don't know if anyone else has had this problem?

When I plug in the wired headset into the 3.5mm socket, they don't work. Calls continue through the speaker. If I play music, it still comes through the speaker and not the headset.

I've searched and searched, but may be missing something obvious to trigger the headset to work??

Ive had this exact same problem when I first got mine - you have to 'use the force' and make sure its really home. Mine was sat about 1/2 mm shy of home and really required forcing to get it in. Oh fnarfnar. In all seriousness, you should have no metal visible if you look between the headset jack and the ameo. I find that it slips in much easier now and just needed loosening up.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I did have about 0.5mm of metal showing, but was rather cautious about giving it a good shove!!

I took the chance and it works fine now.

lol..its annoying when it takes so long for something silly to be fixed..i know how it feels..
