Default Navigon on WM6 and Universal

Does anyone get it to work? It starts but as soon as you try to calculate a route, it stops because of too little memory.

I found a ROM release where you get about 28-30 MB of Free Ram after Soft-Reset. With that, Navigon can calculate exactly one Route.

I really would love to use that one instead of my old TomTom but I can't because of too little RAM.

Does anyone else have the problem and perhaps even a solution?

Default No problem at all with Navigon MN6...

However, you must have at least 25 Mb of free memory...!!
That was the case with the first Jwrightmcps Crossbow ROM 2.01.06 WWE, without any problem.
Now, with the 2.02.00, it is a little bit more complicated. I have to remove quite everything of the "Today screen" to obtain 25 Mb free...! But when I get the Mb free, Navigon MN6 is working flawlessly...

I have given it up. I have used Navigon for years but with my universal it does not work. It works only with a completely fresh machine without contacts or anything else in it....

I have switched to route 66 and I am very happy with it!

Well 25 MB are too little. I found out that it needs between 28 and 29 mb. but with NOTHING on my home screen i only have about 21-23 mb. that's too little. but that's perhaps because i have about 1000 contacts which i need for business use.

I use tomtom 6 right now but i'm not that happy with it. Tried IGO which is great, but the maps get updated only once per year and it often hangs up my system.

I bought Navigon 5 with my Blue Angel (MDA III in Germany) but before I buy another one I would like a good one which works good.

Does Route 66 have German and European maps?

That's the problem, I cannot remember it any more. But I think it was Helmi's 1.1 WM6 ROM.

Right after flashing, I got 30,4 MB of free RAM and after sync it was 28,5 but it had a Memory leak or something. If you used it for about 30 Mins you had only about 11 Megs left even without a Program opened. That's why I tried every new ROM and Darkforces is nearly the best.

Just the Problem that I cannot switch UMTS on and off easilly is annoying.

OK, I'll give it a try. It was the best one concerning routings but got very unstable on WM6.

Do you know if it still has the Problem of turning the Screen to "portrait" while using it landscape (so you don't see anything obvious) but when you close the program it forgets to switch the mode back so that although you used the universal as kind of notebook the screen was rotated by 90°. Hope you understand what I want to say, my english ist not that good ;)

But if you can speak german (as I suppose by your nickname) send me a PM.
