Default U1000 Screen Outdoor Horrible!

Many Times I work outdoor taking surveys and I can tell you that U1000's screen in outdoor condition especially with a lot of sun(Like in tropical countries), is very very bad! I hardly can see anything on the screen. U1000 screen is not like the normal Transflective PDA screen that other PDAs use.
It's just a warning for those who do a lot of their work in the outdoor condition. U1000 won't be the best companion.

well the problem is, if you work outdoor A LOT and you adjust the brightness quite high, you would drain a lot of battery and you hardly make it for 6 hours outdoor job. Where in Universal, I can turn off my backlight completely therefore, I can get plenty of juice out of Universal.

This morning I'm going to work in by car sunny day. It took 1 hour to get to my work place. I set the brightness to number 2. By the time I got to the work place the battery was already down to 90%. I have no idea whether it's 91-99% though.
