v1640 No GSM?

Hi guys.
I have a strange problem.Yesterday i have bought me online a SFR v1640-
a white and very beautifull version of the QTEK 9000.Works perfektly as a
PDA(Wi-fi,navigation,MP3,video and reader)but doesn't seem to recognize any SIM card!When i make a soft reset it shows No GSM v.1.13.65 FRE!
What got wrong?

White? Sounds cool.

Did you buy it new? Someone could've installed a bad Radio ROM that could cause those problems.

I'd suggest upgrading to the latest ROM available from your operator, then if you still have problems it's probably a hardware fault.

And the even Stranger thing is that i cannot enter the telefone menu of the
WM5!The thing is not locked but seems to really doesn't have a GSM module!

SFR Radio update?

Because i have no access to the FTP for unknown reason can someone send me the file for Radio ROM update for a french SFR v1640 on my mail-sales@scila.net

Well, Radio ROMs should work for any country, I would recommend trying your operator's recommended ROM (including CE, ExtROM and RADIO) to see if things work.

Well i've done it!Now the damned device snows the bootloader screen and doesn't work!i've tried softreset,coldboot and hardreset but all
i receive is the sad words Serial and v1.00 on the screen!

This means you stuck in bootloader.

Yeah, that happens a lot, do not worry though, check out the links above and try the suggestions to get it working.

It will work again, don't worry!

The battery was not working well!Tomorrow i wil get a new battery and try it!
