Question the best page pool size for wm6

hi guys,

anyone has tried what's the best page pool size for wm6? the one that gives optimum ram, performance n stability. or maybe anyone has benchmark results for each page pool size. thx.

Not scientific, but I had a play a while ago.

16mb froze the device, 14mb seemed slow to reboot, 12mb a little less.

I'm using 9.9mb atm, seems responsive and stable and once it reboots, quite nippy.

Of course that could all just be perception!

I think 6-8 mb is optimal for 64Mb RAM

For me, I prefer to use 6MB. I tried 8MB too but did not notice any difference, so I just stuck with 6MB, plus I saved 2MB of Main Memory by doing so.

I would also like to add that if you really want a fast and stable device, set the page pool to "0" this will make the system run all from main memory with no page file. The one caveat with this is that you will use more system memory but the system will be faster and super stable (this is what I run for myself)

Hope someone finds that useful,

-J your next rom should have that and we dont mind it at all .
