Question TomTom Product ID?

Sorry if this is a duplicate post but I did a search and came up with nothing.

Does anyone know where we get the TomTom Product ID for the free version we received with our Athena's? I finally found the Device ID but nothing on the Product ID?

How can they think we will buy new maps if we can't find the Product ID to enter to buy them.

i asked that many times in different forums (including this one), seems the product id is part of a map.

it's strange cause HTC gives you a discount code (after installing your free map you get the link) which you apparently can't use without having the map already.

really strange. i wanted to buy a map, too. but i don't see the point of having a discounct code which i can't use and therefore paying the full price.

i wrote to tomtom a few minutes ago, i will tell when/if they answer.

If I have a moment today...I'm going to call TomTom support and ask these types of questions. If anyone has the time right now and is willing...please post the results of the conversation I may not be able to call until tomorrow because of work.

ok,

so two things i found out.

first: you shouldn't check the voucher code thing at the beginning of the checkout but at the end (i think it's the last page). so you don't need a productid.

still, the code didn't work (full price appeared after entering the code). then tomtom told me that the voucher code is only valid for western europe N6 on DVD (80€ instead of 99€)!!!!

at least for european htc advantages...

hope i could help.

ps: i think you'll need the productid to upgrade from your map to a newer one.
