yes, some exchange providers support email aggregation. you can enter any pop3 account and it will fetch those emails. the problem is that i cannot have a forwarder on all my email addresses

my wife's work account is like this. she made a rule in outlook to forward everything to the exchange address. only downside to that is the pc has to be on.
Be thankful...donate to your cooks AND XDA!
XDA is not a service or a store, these are real people spending their own valuable time... Thank them.

That has nothing to do with Exchange, it's just a local Outlook rule. We're talking about Exchange pulling email by itself, without Outlook.

Alright, i'll do a quick google search and see what I can pull up on this subject matter. If I get this up and running i'll be sure to add it to the service. Thanks for the info Trancecoder.

That PopCon program is really awesome. It will require a bit more time to setup accounts (if users want this), but it also costs money, which kinda sucks. Also, in order to get it to work for users, I need their POP usernames and passwords which some people might not want to give out, and I don't blame them. But I need that information to make this program work. I think i'm going to start using this for my personal e-mail, because then I don't have to worry about having my computer on to forward new e-mails. Cool find.

Well, you could try setting up Fetchmail. It's free, but it runs on *nix, although I believe you could set it up to run in Cygwin. I've got a Linux server running Server 2003 x64 + Exchange 2007 in VMware (I know, not the best way of doing it) and, after I figure out how to properly configure Exchange itself, I'll attempt to set up Fetchmail. I could tell you my setup if I ever get it running :P

As for users having to give you their POP3/IMAP passwords, there's really no way to avoid that...

I'm not going to use nix. Just not gonna happen If i'm going to run Exchange, its not going to be runnin in a virtual machine. Not dissing you doing it, because to each his own, its just not for me. BTW, Exchange 2007 is a PAIN IN THE ASS to configure compared to its 2003 brother. As of now, I am just using the 30 day trial of popcon, if I receive enough people that want to use this, and or enough people that donate to purchase the software, I'll definitely add it to my list of services.

As I said, you could set it up in Cygwin - that's a light *nix layer that runs in Windows.

just like to post a quick reply to say that this service is fantastic! It's fast and I love that I retrieve email on my MDA, in OWA, and in Outlook on my computer. You are one of the first to upgrade to 2007 and I was wanting this because it supports HTML emails if you have WM6. I love it! Keep up the good work.
