HTC Acquires Dopod!

I didn't see this reported on xda-developers and somehow missed this in the financial press but it sure looks like good news for all of us since HTC will have a much larger user-base and therefore find it easier to offer upgrades.

The earlier Dopod WM6 upgrade announcement didn't include the Herald but the HTC announcement did so I'm sure we can look forward to a WM6 upgrade for the Dopod C800.

Holy crap! I thought HTC had a policy of sticking to making phones and letting other brand names brand and distribute? This is good news indeed.
