If it is an O2 Orbit, then not available, you will have to use one of the others available from the site.

Understood.

I have got into the bootloader and confirmed with MTTY that my Orbit is CID Locked (#FF) so is there anything I can do now except wait for O2 UK to produce a WM6 ROM (which will presumably work as Vendor/Device ID will be correct)?

I have tried many other ROMs and all give Vendor ID or Device ID errors

Your only option until you can get an official ROM is to send your XDA to imei check people. They will repair it and reload a ROM for you (anyone you like, if you give them the link) and it will cost you approx £45. This is the CID unlocking fee and the repair of your bricked XDA.

I did the same as you - and imei resurrected my bricked XDA

Unless you want to wait weeks . . . . this is the opnly option.

I can really recommed imei-check.co.uk as they were very fast, polite, answered email tech qustions and were generally helpful through the whole process.

ALSO : When I got my XDA back from imei, it contained a beta rom and I wanted to load the HTC standard version, so I followed the instructions in this tread to over-write the beta rom (it didnt want to allow downgrading)
