Flashing Herald with mtty

Is it possible to flash Herald in bootloader mode using mtty or something similar?

It might be, but your device still needs to be CID-unlocked, check this out:

believe me, I am reading a lot about this to have my herald work again!

I have looked into links you wrote me.
I dont understand: with mtty I am able to set supercid on herald or only to display cid status?

There is no SuperCID for Herald, only for Hermes I believe, that link a few posts up is from the Hermes WIKI. But since your phone is CID locked you cannot ROM update the Herald. And when typing e.g. :

lnbs [pathname [StartAddr [Length [SkipOffset ["cp"]]]]]

you have to have your device CID unlocked. When you type set: 32 (1) you must not get the message at the end that looks like:
CMD55 failed
g_cKeyCardSecurityLevel = FF

The FF means that your device is CID locked, so you cannot use lnbs, so you cannot flash

Good luck then, I tried everything too (I own a brick too ) But i'll wait for the official WM6 ROM, I hope that i can flash with that one..

Ok, I cannot change CID in my device since it does not go forward after bootloader.

I am looking into a way to change the CID string inside the image (NBH).
Is it possible?

so The Dutchman, if we install wm6, it can possibly work?

cuz i have wm crossbow which afaik is wm6. it was leaked weeks ago but i cant install it cuz im not in windows

You cannot install when you are not cnnected with Active Sync - only if it is an OFFICIAL WM6 with RUU.

And when you have an official Wm6 you could share it??

When you want to install Wm6 you need the Os.nb and use any AsergWM6 to get the hand on the folder included - copy your WM6 Os.nb to the Asergfolder and then run update_rom.bat

Good luck. Hope you have an official ROM in your language - because you won´t be able to falsh another rom tthan the one in your country.

The ROM from HTC will come in 2-3 weeks. That was told from someone in a german forum who called the HTC support. Let´s hope it is real.
