Default May be Bricked

Hi,

I bought an herald not blocked to any operator, i tried to upgrade it
to WM6 but it crash during te update (don't know why).

I tried to re-flashed it with RUU_Herald_HTC_WWE_1.8.405.1_02.71.90_Ship.exe

but i got an invalid vendor id something like message.

I try to find a no vendor id with no success.

Please Help!!

There are VERY much posts of people who are havig the same prob's. And yes there is a good possibility that your device is bricked. BUT wich ROM was installed on yur device? you could try these two ROM's first before messing around!

first to to is putting your device in bootloader mode: HOLD Camera and then press soft reset once. then connect to pc via USB, then run the RUU and follow the steps. good luck

Hi,

I already tried both of these roms and even more, even roms from other
models but always with the same error: INVALID VENDER ID

I think the solutions will be:

-Right or NoVendorId Rom. (Like for the prophet)
-Mtty trick but with right Commands and values
-SD Boot trick via HERAIMG.nbh well signed.

Please someone to help us

You could flash back no problem by flashing back to original shipped ROM......problem is though you need to find out which ROM came with your phone, then you need to get your hands on it.
