The picture quality of this video is not so good. I can not, or just partially can read the text. I can not hear anything. And have no idea, what he did on this video between 6:42 and 7:14! Is it a file loading or saving form? Why? I have never noticed it during the AthenaUnlocker procedure! Any idea?

Smile T-mobile MDA Ameo 16GB (Ame400)

Hi everybody and excuse me for my inexperienced post. I past the last 2 days to read everything on this cell unlocking procedure and before find this forum the only thing I did was to asses 1 failed try with a code bought on internet. This unit is coming from UK, and it apparently worked well with other carriers sim cards than T-mobile from there, but once here in Canada, the phone asked for a code. The one 1 bought, once entered, disappeared and a message told me there are still 4 codes tries to enter. I read here something about the unlocker for Ameo etc. but I am afraid I can't afford some other fails in order to not brick it. I would gladly donate here seeing the exerience you get withn these devices. It's a 6.1, with customised T-mobile stuff. I would prefer to get the REAL code, or get a step by step guide in order to patch it on internet (medium experience). Thank you a lot for your time rc

Can anyone please help? I got some problem establishing an activesync connection with HTC Ameo, Tmobile locked. Here's the case:

I use win XP+SP2, Activesync 4.5. Activesync connection has been working a few months ago but now it isn't. I connect the HTC, the system recognizes it, the green arrows go around for a while, then the message: "Activesync cannot connect the windows mobile powered device. To troubleshoot problem, click ok." And the same time HTC says: "This device is not allowed to connect to the desktop computer."
In the device manager i can see 'Windows CE devices/HTC USB sync'

-I clicked ok to troubleshoot, everything was ok but it didn't solve the problem.
-Tried fiddling with 'enable advanced network functionality' - no good whether it's on or off
-Reinstalled Activesync 4.5, also tried 4.2
-Turned off firewall, virus software
no use.

T tried to connect today this HTC Ameo to a different PC, 64bit, win7 + windows mobile device center 6.1. Same results. The HTC writes out that it is not allowed to connect to the desktop PC.

Any suggestions?

The 3rd day of my struggle with the HTC: i tried on my friend's laptop, (Windows 7 64bit, windows media device center 6.1, firewall off) and still the same: "This device is not allowed to connect the desktop computer". So by now i'm sure that it is something up with the ameo. I will try the bootloader menu when i'll have some time.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Post HTC Advantage X7510 (T-Mobile AMEO 16GB) SIM lock

Those of you who are already unlocked should complete step 1 regardless... step 2 and 3 are optional (but if you do 2, you MUST do 3)

it's a pretty simple 3-step process and it's all explained, remember to keep your Athena connected at all times until you have fully completed all the steps.

So anyway...

Please note: you must have .net Framework 2.0 installed with the services packs, if you don't it then it probably won't run till you download it.

UPDATE: Thanks to apd, I isolated the problem and have fixed it, your device will now be hardreset in the process of unlocking unfortunately, but this fixes the blackscreen issue. please delete your unlocker and redownload.

SPECIAL INFO ABOUT STEP 2: When you run this step, first your device will be flashed; this is NOT the end of Step 2, you must then configure your device and set it up fully so you can access the menus etc (there will be a prompt to ask you to do this after the flash anyway). then you will be able to continue. please make sure to read ALL dialogs fully

Agent Bignose has created an excellent video here - Please note: after 18:19 of the video, you are done, you are free to disconnect the device and close everything down, the rest is just error logging

Please report your success or failure on this thread

Hi,

I got HTC Advantage X7510 (T-Mobile AMEO 16GB) which is SIM locked, after boot up it shows "you have tried 15 times, please wait until timeout", I tried with the ROM upgrade still no luck as it's showing the "No Service". The phone is booting properly and all the other things work except call facility.

Device name : HTC_X7510
Windows Mobile 6.1 Professionl
CE OS 5.2.19209 (Build 19209.1.0.2)
ROM version : 3.27.405.3
Radio version: 1.58.00.00
Protocol version : 32.91.7020.20W
ExtROM version : 3.27.405.104
Model No. : ATHE400

I've have successfully done x7510_HSPL365. Boot loader now shows:

ATHE400
IPL-v2.02
ATHE400
SPL-v3.65.Olinex

I also tried with WM6.5.3-23153_128DPI_x7510_6.2_VICO ROM but it also gives "No Service" and now reverted it back to RUU_Athena_HTC_WWE_3.27.405.3_1.58.00.00_Ship.

Could you please advise and help me to unlock it, your help and advise will highly be appreciated and surely will make the donation for your good work.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Anshuman
