[Q] Change Language on my 6510

Hi, I have bought from Ebay a HP 6510 whti english Language.
I'm Italian, and I wanto to install a Italian Rom.
I have downloaded it, but I cannot install it, becouse language is different and setup doesn't go on.
There is a solution??

1;DL English ROM from here
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...=135&swLang=13

2:unzip with winrar.exe dlonloaded [sp33246.exe]
light click this file and menu [extract to]

3;the files will be extracted into the folder name [sp33246]

then you can find following files
unicows.dll
CeiPAQ.dll
CEOS.nbf ----------- OS ROM
EnterBL.exe
EXTROM.nbf -----------Extrom
hpRUU.exe
hpRUU.ini
hpRUUENG.dll
iPAQPCSDK.dll
RadioFS.nbf -------------RadioFS ROM
RadioOS.nbf --------------Rado ROM
Readme.exe
ReadMe.txt
RUUClientDriver.dll

4:Extract Italian [SP33243EXE] with same way

and copy your CEOS.nbf from Italan Set & past to Desktop or any where.
Also replace with over writing EXTROM.nbf in the in the English folder.

5:Connect hw6500 to PC via AS as useal upgrade mode.

6:Start [hpRUU.exe] in extracted english folder.

7:go flowing instructions and proceed Upgrade program till finish
verify the Version of Device & ROM images are same languagese

8:This step is very IMPORTANT:

*Light click the Italian CEOS.nbf and select COPY from pull down menu.
*And click OK to start upgrading to fash the English image,
also past to the Copied Italian CEOS.nbf to over write English CEOS.nbf
at the same time.

if the timing was not wrong, upgrade exe will flash itaian ROM onto
your device.

i flashed Chinese ROM onto English deivice with this way.
But some of friend failed and bricked coz of bad timing
So PLS do this carfully, and on your own risk.

Wow .. I see you everywhere for changing language ..

I found you on google and saw your web site .. and reading so much of your posts ..

You are the expert here with IME.

I am having a problem for my Benq P51 that using WM6 JPN. I can't understand it because it is in Japanese. I try to work on it by changing it back to English or Thai but no hope.

Can I use your korechithai ?? or Do I have to do something as the above post ??

Please guide me !!

PS... I just installed your korechithai and it works !! i can read Thai now but .. everywhere is still in japanese .. such as, contact button, name of some programs, .. etc

i tried to cahnge language from spanish to english , update stopped at 0.1%, i disconnected after few hours and after that my ipaq is dead , i cant do nothing, its not recocnized by active sync, i tried hard reset but it dosen't show nothing, exept light shows that is charging , screen is empty all the time , if anybody had same problem please help me

The bootloader was dead, there is almost nothing you can do (unless you know how to JTAG the 6515... or take out the ROM, reprogram and solder it back)...

watchsat might not be right i have read other posts that this error at 0.1% is due to radio rom not being compatable and freezing there. no idea what the solutoion to this is but i know that if you dump radio.nbf it will continue pat 0.1% but you will have no radio

dont read much chinese but go over to www.pxdxa.com and search for error there as well.

try with another pc

where i can find ROM for english language only for 6515-without letters ?

how do you open hpruu.in for editing???
