thanks for the info, and the implied insult, but i'm still having trouble. the page says "Shipped Full ROM upgrades" and i'm looking to downgrade to windows mobile 5.0.. is "upgrade" just an absolute term for changing your rom? and the page for the thread for my "upgrade" isn't quite clear as to what it is i'm downloading with:

"New cing/ATT aku3.5.2 WWE_2_1_.15.502.3_6275_1.40.30.00"

to me it sounds like i'm upgrading with a word like "new". thanks again.

The word 'upgrade' here doesn't mean anything. These are full ROMs. An 'upgrade' isn't really possible with any Windows PDA, only a full reinstall. So these are all full versions.
Just a suggestion, if your only answer to someone asking for help is going to be "use the search n00b!" then I would suggest simply not answering at all. One of two things will happen after that, either the person asking the question will use the search on their own and find the answer after no one responds to the question, or someone nicer will come along and go ahead and answer the question for them.
