Mine was initially 'bricked' too. But there was a post somewhere here, which basically teaches you to get into the Axim's Diagnostic Mode. Press RECORD + POWER + RESET and it should come back to life. Well, mine did. I'm running WM6 A02 now.

Sorry that your's is also bricked,
Nathan

YES!!!!!!!! IT WORKED!!!! I found the post that you're speaking of here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...de#post1587368

The key is to plug in the device to the wall and then do the POWER + CONTROL + RESET . Once the screen comes up, press the EMAIL button to start the testing. While the test is running, push POWER + WIRELESS + RESET to enter the boot loader. Now you can select the ROM on the SD card and continue flashing.

Kengsim, I owe you big time... Thanks man!!

LOL, no problem, glad to have been of service. I'm still wondering how to buy software for this fella since most sites require that I state the model. An x50V with WM6 doesn't exist... lol!

Can I flash WM6_A02_RC2 ROM in WM6_A01 or WM5_A02 version?
After it, How to load OS after flash ROM?
(power)+(reset) or (power)+(wireless)+(reset)?

Thank you,
Azon

According to the instructions you can flash to WM6_A02_RC2 directly from WM5_A02 or WM6_A01.

After flashing the main ROM (not the bootloader) you can do the hard reset (power)+(reset) which will restart the device and load the OS.

Nathan

Exclamation Dell GPS Receiver and Tom Tom

Hi everybody, yesterday I've recently update my Aximx50v from Wm03 to Wm06 a02.

I have some questions about this new version:
1. is it possible to continue working with my Dell GPS receiver? My axim finds the GPS but it can not connect.

2. have you tested Tom tom 6 (or a lower version) with this wm06?

3. is it normal that when I am connected using wifi, (WPA) after 20 minutes connections goes down? It did not happen when I use Wm03. I tried to turn off and then on (with wifi on) and then it reconnects but it does not seem normal. Is not it?

For the rest, by the moment I have not find any other problem.

warm Regards from Italy,
Ric.
