Default Flash WM6 OS without running step1?

I read somewhere in the forums that the first step is not nessesary to run...If i do a hard reset only and then flash the WM6 os will it work?

It will work.. but is not advisable...

And why is that...?I mean if i do a hard reset and then flash the wm os is the same as flashing the wm5 os from step1 and then flashing the wm6 os from step2. In both situations we have a clean rom.

Step 1 is a NVID ROM, that why it's used...

I forgot to mention that my prophet is a G4.So why should i install the NoVENDOR rom? Sorry if i ask too many questions but i'm trying to understand why should i install the 1t step?

You need to run step one because the update.bat process uses utilities that are not supported by wm6.

So step one downgrades your device first so that the tools are compatible.
