Default bad phone performance

hi friends... i have a 3600 htc since 2 months ago. I am dissatisfied with it, not only most of the paint has gone away, the screen is not visible at daytime, etc... but what pisses me the most is the GSM phone performance. It really needs a very strong signal. A $10 nokia phone works much better.

Do you guys have the same problem, or maybe my phone is defective?

kind regards,
rupps

- It's worldwide known that black P3600's are peeling (for this reason I bought a white one)

- I think almost all PDA's have problems with the sunlight

- The reception of GSM is very good, I think yours is defective

hey dudes ... thanks for the reply!

for the first poster... ok, it may be worldwide known that it peels off, but it is not certainly an excuse for a $600 phone, i think this has a very bad quality finish. I think it is also not an excuse to say most PDA's have a problem with sunlight... a non-reflective screen has not to be that expensive nowadays (all phones have one !!!!!). For me the issue is that, when combined with a touch screen and a sunny weather, the problem is really serious, the phone is nearly unusable

I am investigating the GSM issue because any cheap phone behaves noticeabily better.

Hi rupps.
Let´s see if I can help you out...What radio version does your phone have?1.46.0.11,1.38.x.x ?
Maybe a radio update will fix it.

hey saminem thanx for the post... i already did that however, upgraded, but i dont' see much improvement, if any at all. Indoors phone performance is not very good IMHO. Ive seen people in the forum speaking miracles about that radio update, kinda "gps lock is now 5 times faster! GSM signal is better!" and stuff like that... unfortunately .. not in my case

Which ROM are you using?
Do you have any other applications installed?

I can't say I've had any reception problems with my phone unless I install too much stuff in it.

Regarding the sunlight problem, I believe there are anti-glare screen protectors out there that can help. Maybe give that a go.

I can't say I'm having much problems either.
