Default CABs & registry Tweaks

after having the Wing for nearly a month, i've done a lot of research and found the following CABs and registry tweaks (using Total Commander) to be very useful

1) Battery Status:
-show detailed status of your battery meter, memory status, clock speed, temperature, etc...
-use this to OVERCLOCK (best part!!!)
-do NOT overclock to 300's...i've gone up 273 without a problem and that seems to be the forum consensus...

2) CleatTemp
-check "temp," "cache," "cookies," and "history" and delete those files to free up storage space

3) Disable SMS sent notification
-hate that pop-up notification that comes up ("message sent") after sending a text message??? well, get rid of it by using this cab!

4) HTC Home Plugin 6-Tab
-i love this home screen!!!
6 tabs:
-home clock
-picture speed dial
-weather
-programs
-profiles
-media player

5) Total Commander
-use this to make registry edits

since i can only attach 5 files at a time...i'll reply to my own thread and post the remaining cabs

\HKLM\init\Launch92: Delete

HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone\ShowSim: 1 => 0

(vertical) HKLM\System\GWE\cxHScr: 20 => 9

Disable Video Size Limit
HKLM/Software/HTC/camera/P3/EnableRecLimit: 1 => 0

Allow Ringtones from Micro SD Card
HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/Ring/Directory:
\Windows\ => \Storage Card\

Suggest More Words
HKCU/ControlPanel/Sip/SuggWords: 4 => 6

Show Tomorrow's Appointments on Calendar Today item
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\”Calendar”\Fla gs:
1 =>
0 = Show Upcoming Appointments
1 = Show Upcoming Appointments and today's "All Day" event
2 = Show Next Appointment
3 = Show Next Appointment and today's "All Day" event
4 = see tomorrow's Appointments on the Calendar Today item WITHOUT today's All Day event
5 = see tomorrow's Appointments on the Calendar Today item WITH today's All Day event

Improve Speakerphone
HKLM/Software/HTC/AUDIOGAIN/EARPHONE_UPLINK_VOLUME: 19 => CC
HKLM/Software/HTC/AUDIOGAIN/RECEIVE_UPLINK_VOLUME: 00 => CC

(i don't know if the above works...i can't personally tell...i just left mine at default after trying it out...can someone CONFIRM IF THIS WORKS???)

HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Shell/Start Items or Shell/Extensions/NewMenu

Release the soft reset button and keep pressing the soft keys.

a nice list for a newb to PPC, would also consider posting the newly created PocketCM and the keyboard to the list.

Thanks! I never came across these programs through all the "research" i've done...i guess that's why i'm a newb

here's the link for the pocketcm contacts and keyboard for download:

http://www.pocketcm.com/dl.php

also, i've attached the zip files for

1) changing pool size for the T-Mobile Wing (increasing program memory up to 8 more MB!)

2) HTC Home Plugin Customizer (that I mentioned in a previous post)

pocketcm contacts has a htc touch-like skin color (dark gray) to it, so if you want to match your entire phone to this color scheme, use the following:

1) HTC 10-Button Comm Manager
-adds 2 more buttons (flight mode & internet sharing)
-changes color scheme to htc touch

2) HTC Dialer Skin
-changes color scheme to htc touch

3) HTC default theme (dark gray)

Default Home doesnīt work

I canīt get the home plugin to work on my p4350. I just get a big blank screen with nothing. Is this for WM6? I already updated.

Anybody know where I can find a readme on how that page pool works? I see a lot of batch files but donīt know where to start.

Thanks

I use startclean.exe for cleaning the "used programs" after softreset.

Just put in startup folder under windows:
