Default Rapidshare file corrupt.

Aaaaaaargh! Sorry mspock, I ran into an obstacle -- the file you uploaded to rapidshare is corrupt. I was able to extract the WM5 Upgrade from it, but the PDAViet WM6 folder is corrupt. I downloaded this file 3 times to ensure it was not my system corrupting the files. I also avoided downloading/uploading anything over the Net along with no multi-tasking activity while the file was being downloaded.

Could you please re-RAR the file and repost it? Just the PDAViet version would also do unless someone else needs the WM5 upgrade also. Thanks in advance!!!

I've edited my last post : repacked the file and re-uploaded . make sure you digit the right pw .
The updating process is right , someone says to do :
wm5 L --> wm5 H 1.00 --> wm5 H 1.02 ( for ipaq hax2750 you have to use an ipaq 2790 rom ) --> wm6 ( pdaviet or 4pda ) .

I had wm2003 , so my steps became : wm2003 --> wm5 H --> wm6 pdaviet ( didn't pass through wm5 h 1.02 )

the rom updater i used is the one given with wm5 1.00.00 H rom , and , as described before , I've substituted the original wm5 rom with the wm6 one , after the confirmation , before pressing the continue button , without closing the application .
I think the hx2750 is a GREAT ppc , i don't undertand why it has a little support nowadays .

please tell me how you feel with this rom !

Default New WM6 hx2000 version

Hi Guys,
New 4PDA ROM : http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=57381&st=210
Seems that some SDHC issues and other related problems with memory are solved.
If you have any other newer ROM, please let me know.

# 5.20.00 H - - full version;
# 5.20.00S - version without Windows Live, autoupdate, drm, catalog and other

anyway , I think it's the russian version only .

I could not find AutoUpdate in misar's ROM. Was it intentionally left out?
Also, I discovered that Error Reporting was missing too. Not that I need it though.
Overall, been a good experience with WM6.
Great work for the 'cooks'!

@mspock: Hello again mspock, and all others who are monitoring this thread, of course, your repack worked great this time -- thanks a lot!

I successfully upgraded my hx2750 to PDAViet's version of WM6. I really like this version's memory management. All other apps and features worked just fine. The bad news is that my Bluetooth still remains broken. It always complained about the Bluetooth Radio not having enough memory -- the general complaint concerning Bluetooth in WM5 by many for years.

I know I'm not doing anything wrong as I'm not a rookie in the PDA business and have spent a couple of years searching the forums for answers in how to resolve this problem. I've done the countless of soft resets that others have recommended doing, running the bare minimum of apps (clean install, elimination of all of Today's items, minimum Bluetooth services, etc.) and still the hx2750's Bluetooth capability remains unresolveable for me. A very frustrating experience indeed.

What gets me is that when I revert back to WM2003, I can get Bluetooth to work, but it is intermittent. WM2003 used the Broadcom Bluetooth stack version 1.5. Research through the many forums that I have visited resulted in many others also having this problem so I really do not want to believe it is a hardware problem; however, mspock did say his Bluetooth works albeit slow connecting, but it works. Therefore, I can only conclude that there was a bad batch of hx2750s placed on the market when they first came out.

The only last hope for my unit would be a way to upgrade the Broadcom Bluetooth stack to something other than 1.7.x or replacing it altogether with that of another Bluetooth developer. So far, nothing out there has actually worked for the hx2750 or is available.

I've gone as far as i can with this device so I am giving up in trying to get Bletooth to work. Nevertheless, the WM6 upgrade for the hx2750 does work, with PDAViet's version being my favorite, so for those who still want to try -- go for it. Just don't expect Bluetooth to work for you if you did have a problem with your device. It's quite possible that if these WM6 upgrades discussed here in this thread had a Bluetooth stack version greater than 1.7.x (Broadcom, in this case), they may have been the ultimate fix/upgrade. Other than that, I'm retiring this bad boy.

hi again . I'm happy to hear that the rom is the one to choose , 'cause i've tried it without trying the 4pda version .
I have had once the problem of low memory with bluetooth , in wm2003 .
But from what I remember , i simply hard-resetted the unit . In wm6 , you have to do a CLEAN reset after the upgrade , ( pow + cal + msging + reset bttn ) but i'm sure you've already done it .
I don't know what causes your problem , it's strange 'cause it seems there is something eating ram. I suppose you do install everything on memory card ; I use my compact flash to run all programs , except the today add-on and the browser , that I've installed on the device . in wm6 I've
: Storage Mem : total : 74.96 Mb , In use : 33.13 , Free : 41.83
Program Mem : total : 117.56 , in Use : 24.21 , Free : 93.35

with bluetooth running , the prog mem is 92.10 ( in use : 25.46 ) .
If I find something reguarding the bluetooth stack , be sure I'll post here .
Good Luck .
