You mean all this time was about the OS? I don't have Vista nor will have in the near future so i have no way to guarantee compatibility. If you want reliable results, stick to XP

Let me tell the full story. I have installed V3.0 and then how can i remove it before installing 4.0.1. I have just installed 4.0.1 over it and then this error started to appear. I have then removed 4.0.1 and deleated REXX folder too. and after installing the 4.0.1. it started asking for REXX. so now tell me what should I DO.

You can't just delete a folder from 'Program Folder' to remove an application if that application has been installed using the registry. That's why the program asks for REXX.

My advise is to install v3 again and then uninstall it properly - using Control Panel or the shortcut in Start menu - and checking the option to remove the REXX interpreter. Only then you are in condition to install the latest version that is now portable and doesn't use the registry.

I don't know if there is a technical reason for that value never been mentioned in the threads that cover that issue.

My only job here was to give you guys an easy way to change it 'on-the-fly' so i only used values already being used. If anyone knows any reason why that value can't be used then please say; in the meantime i'll make some tests myself to see if the 10MB value will screw the ROM or not (poor lil Wizard of mine )

To all that can't afford to wait simply see the technique used by Faria (sticky thread) and used the value 0xA like this: A0 (which little-endian for 10 decimal )

1st- You do some great work. I also checked my key (#20) but you already have it.

I have a question. With ver 4.1, whenever I read the Splash Page of the ROM, the program hung. (G3unlocked, enablerapi, etc. all done).

So today I installed 4.2, enablerapi/unsigned, ran device info. All was good. Then when I tried to read the splash ROM, I received a dialog box that stated:

"DOC has no value. (in red)

In the REXX script named:

At line number: 356 (green text)"

and then an OK button to close the box.


Lastly, I tried to write the splash ROM, and this script in red appeared:
"ERROR! Cannot proceed.
File size mismatch!!!
Should be 153630 bytes"

Ever seen this?

That is very strange as i can read the Splash Screen just fine .
The error you're seeing is because WST couldn't determine the Gx version (G3 or G4) and the size issue is because you're using a file with the wrong size.

Post here the "Device Info" please... (without IMEI of course)
