Default Date and Lock issue

Hi,
This is an ongoing issue and bear with me if it has been solved however
didn't find any solution yet.

Whenever I change battery on BA / WM6, the date is reset and the Lock to only power button is lost?.

Is there any way around it?.

For 2, i could think of a tiny app that sets the registry on startup..??!

Any idea help please...

Cheers!

Someone posted workaround for this problem and it was before removing the battery, turn off the device for 10-15 sec and then softreset, and after that before versions of radio protocol and rom show remove the battery and the date will be preserved

yep, although there's really no need to turn off the device and wait 10-15 seconds for it to work.
