Default Help with reverse scenario

Hi fluxist,

Thanks for the nice hack.

Can anyone help me with the reverse scenario? I have 3 windows devices - a Tytn-II running on WM 6 and 2 dell laptops one running on vista the other on xP service pack 2.

I created an ad-hoc connection on the vista which has a broadband ethernet connection and could share internet as well as files with the xP. Tytn-II connects to this ad-hoc connection but cannot share internet or files.

Looking forward to your solutions

I'm still having issues...

While I'm connected, I can't access the net on my Wing, plus my laptop WILL connect to my 'Wing-Fi' network but cannot get an IP address and finally uses the auto-config address...

I followed the steps to a T (I'm pretty sure) but still no luck...

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Ryan

I have successfully followed the directions, and set up RLwireless.

BUT, I have a problem:
Each time I disable and re-enable Bluetooth PAN in Internet Sharing the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnectionSharing]
"PrivateInterface"="TIACXWLN1"
reverts back to "PrivateInterface"="BTPAN1"

which means that I'd have to run a *.reg file each time before I want to share the internet connection over wireless...

any ideas why the string isn't permanent?

because of the DLL, as has also been thoroughly explained in the above-linked tutorial. Please read it.

oh, right right... yeah i glazed over that part of the DIY lol

How about this: I cannot run *.reg files on my WM6 Hermes... it is not a known filetype. Is there a way to associate *.reg files with TRE (my registry editor program)?
