Question ROW 2.23 Update Problem - Lost Sync During Updater Process

I'm after a bit of advice.....

I've just updated my unbranded 750 using the offical 2.23 upgrade that appeared over the weekend. The actual WM6 update went fine, but due to a combination of sync/touchscreen problems (as detailed in my other post) I lost the sync connection AFTER the Treo had rebooted into WM6, but BEFORE I had run the final stage of the updater on the PC.

This seems to have left me with a perfectly functioning WM6 Treo (other than the touchscreen and intermittent sync problems). However, the Software Version is still showing as TREO750-1.16-RWE (Firmware Version is 1.54.00.00). So I assume that the final step of the process would have applied the Palm specific changes and updated the version to 2.23.

Obviously the simple answer would have been to run the update without using the Palm updater (and not risk it until I'd resolved the sync problem).

But, I've done it now, so I'm looking for the best way to resolve the position I'm in. I'm assuming the re-running the updater would be a bad idea, and may not even work.

What would be the best way of running the final stage of the update? Do I need to extract a specific file, or should I rerun the whole thing by using 'memory card' method?

thanks
Mark

I think you're good to go. If you want to run the customizations that are stored in extended ROM, you can do a hard reset and it will run through them again. There's a good chance that the software version string won't be updated - some of the other udpates do not change it. You do have the correct radio (shown as "Firmware" in the about->phone screen).

Thumbs up Thanks Summiter

Thanks, that's a relief, I thought that was going to be a bit tricky to sort out.
