Default T-Mobile Shadow?

When will there be a forum here for this new HTC WM6 Smartphone?

Do you have the Shadow? If so how do you like it compared to wing/mda/dash?

I'll add my 2 cents here and call for a Shadow forum. Aside from the fact it's a new smartphone device, the Neo interface alone separates it from other HTC smartphones.

FWIW I am going to buy one of these asap. I've spend a good deal of time in the local T-Mobile store and was very impressed. The Neo interface is very responsive and is more than just another home screen. The integration of music playing, photo displaying, and other features are very impressive.

Yes, we should have a shadow forum.

Shadow, I have it. Hmm...slow, just like the Dash when it was first released. I already oc'd my OMAP 200Mhz (it was operating at 180+Mhz) to 250+Mhz and regedit the cache to make the Neo Interface respond a bit faster. Btw, app unlock is same as dash, and I am still waiting for TMO to release unlock codes for my device.

How do you like the suretype compared to qwerty? Thats my biggest concern.

Thats what I figured...I gave my dash to my girlfriend since she broke her crap razr. Now I am back to my MDA,which is not too bad with a custom rom,but I am always looking to try something new. I got used to the size and non-touch screen of the dash so this MDA with extended battery feels awkward.

Shadow feels more like a "nokia-wannabe-phone" version of the Dash, with more memory and the sliding mech. The functions are almost the same, just with the Neo Interface; which you can change to the "normal" window mobile 6 Homescreens. It's target to those who are not familar with WM6 users.

Thanks for the reply...Thats what it looks like to me as well. Seems like a SDA with suretype/slide/memory upgrade and sidekick frontend..I'm still kinda undecided. I don't think I wanna use this MDA anymore but not sure if I want a dash or Shadow...Who knows maybe I'll wait for something else. Thanks for the info..

Two more cents here...

The 20 key Suretype-ish keyboard looks to be easy to adapt to. First off, it's in the same QWERTY layout excepting that most keys represent two letters. Secondly, I adapted from QWERTY to T9 on the SDA/2125 easily - and that's a much bigger conceptual jump.

I'm big into one handed use. The Shadow is perfect for this. It was damn hard to use the Dash one handed.

The increased memory seems to mean a LOT to the speed of operation. Mind you, I was never bothered by the speed of the Dash/SDA/2125 and rarely played with overclocking. I've used the Shadow and it feels like a MUCH faster processor because of the additional memory I suspect.

Neo is cool. Very cool.

External MicroSD memory slot. Very nice.

Wonderful screen.

The overall design is nice. It's so light it's hard to believe it has all the features that it does have, but the build quality is so good that it doesn't feel cheap at all.
