Need advice of the pro's only!!!

Hi I'm new to the forums, could somebody tell me the first steps i need to take to a successfull change from windows mobile 5 to windows mobile 6, i have lots of bookmarks with info, but i prefer to be cautious before i try anything as i tried flashing roms before and a couple of times failed and bricked the equipment.

So If any kind person will help me, The charmer is on t-mobile, and is branded (urghh!) any help with this too would be gratefull.
