IDEAS PLEASE XDA Flame, What if you used the wrong WM6 ROM on the wrong phone

I just got an XDA Flame and love it.

Dual Processor running its own NVIDA fast as F, compared to my TyTN I
However it comes with WM5 and rumors aside there is no WM6 on the horizon.

Just selling my Hermes on eBay and I am already missing WM6 (nothing else really).
My 6GB Micro SD Sandisk of course will not work (only works on WM6).

So it begs the question will I brick my new phone if I try and install someone else's WM6. ?

The flame DOES have a usb hub built into to it, (and a mini male to Full USB Female adapter is included to add your own thumb drive), but hardly a CLEAN
