Dutty's New Rom with a new look I called it [NU-SKOOL]

Please Read Things to Know:

This Rom has not got midlet manager so you need to install one before trying to run any midlet applications.

You just need to Flash Rom, hard reset, wait for customisation to finish.

To activate cube please run Ftouchflo.config in Touchflo Folder and enable Ftouchflo in general tab. To de-activate the cube just do the reverse.

Run touchflo.config in Touchflo folder and untick in general tab touchflo this will ask you to soft reset your device. after soft reset you can then re-align your screen. to activate cube again just enable ftouchflo in touchflo.config again.

Reason is there is a conflict with ftouchflo running which stops the screen alignment configuring properly

How To Enable BBC CONNECT TO THIS ROM

Install instructions:

1) goto hklm>system>versions and change what ever is there to .0.4.2 (The leading . before the 0 needs to be there)
2) Install bbconnect cab file.
3) If you don't get the check boxes at the end of the install (Calendar, notes, etc). Re-run the install (it will remove the 1st instance), I always get it the second time.
4) Wait for Blackberry to finish "setting up device for first use" and let it reboot.
5) On reboot, status will now show the PIN number.
6) Open the Blackberry connect desktop application. (Make sure you have access to your corporate e-mail) If you do you will see "Configure Wireless Device" as active.
7) Plug in the Tilt and wait for Activsync to finish syncing and says "connected".
8) In the BB Connect desktop application hit the "Configure Wireless"
9) When finished unplug Tilt and soft reset.
10) You should be good to go at this point.

Why is it there a line on top of my upper bar

Its a battery meter and its been repeatedly asked, you can disbale it through wktask settings.

About This Rom:

1. Most of these graphics have been extracted from a PDAVIET ROM and edited to get this look. [Thanks for the authors of this amazing look]

2. This Rom doest support 3g video call, I will make a cab or upload a diferent Rom with a new dialler or the deafult kaiser 3g dialler.

3. Alot of work have went into this Rom including beta testing which I reallly happy to have those bea testers who are still beta testing but so far very good feedback.

4. I have taken out shaps advance config and kaiser tweak out the Rom for users prefrences.

5. to change to the default wm6 dialler you will have to use kaiser tweak or shaps config to enable.

Dutty, can you post the screenshots of the new look in full size?

Maybe i can't judge them right, but my first impression was omg ugly! The native Touch skin looks way more professional. I know this rom is "home-made", but that doesn't mean it should look home-made, right?

But besides that, great work on the roms! I'm running Dutty's No.6 now and its real good!

Sometimes looks are decieing but i will give you the benefit of the doubt and let you flash and report back.

Upgrading form Dutty's n0 2 ROM

Hello Dutty,

looks like you have been very busy again!

I have n0 2 so far and was looking to isntall n0 6, but thinking I might as well go to 7 directly.

However, I wanted to tell you about some small problems I had with n0 2 and ask whetehr those might be fixed in this new release, and also a few suggestions:

• The Keyboard option in Shcap's configurator is not sticky. I have a French keyboard (Orange France Kaiser), but every time I reboot the keybaord is back to default, so I need to go to the configurator to set to French layout again.
• I have setup an outlook account, and I have a very strange bug where menu -> New does not do anything. It just does not display the submenu to create a new message. A workaround is to go to reply-> forward and send wahtever you need to create a new message. Not the best.
• I cannot navigate the HTC home plugin with the track wheel, and have to use the D-PAd instead if I want to use buttons to navigate the Home plug-in. I installed Shcap's ROM before and was able to use track wheel to navigate it.
• Are you going to allow the std HTC stlye as well as your new look?
• Could you consider adding a few extras from SJ extra packages just posted, in particular threaded (PALM like) SMS, and some of the extra gizmos like new PDF viewer, backup, task switcher,...
