Default Cant get 2gb sandisk to work

I've got a 2gb Sandisk microsd and my phone wont recognize it. I'm running Artemis Touch 3.01 WM6 WWE ROM via a Orbit XDA phone. I think it might have to do with formatting the memory card but I've tried to format it via my phone and computer (vis SD slot with adapter) but it always freezes everytime. Anyone got any suggestions before I take it back to the store...maybe there is something I'm doing wrong...

Hi,

in what format did you tried to reformat your MicroSd Card? FAT or FAT32. The legacy (original) SD Card driver only supports FAT. So put the Card into your Computer, right click on it, and check if it is in FAT Format. If you`ve allready done this, then I have no idea what it could be. Maybe the Card itself has some defect, or the pins in your PPCs MicroSd drive are some sort of bended. You might check that as well....

I dont think so. My 1GB card is formatted with FAT32 since the day I bought it. thats 8 months running now. I have also upgraded to WM6 with no problem.

If you can try jabami's suggestion to format with FAT16 then try it again on your PDA. If it doesnt work, try hard resetting your device. If it doesnt work again, maybe time to go back to the shop. Good luck
