Problem with lcd screen replacement

I have recently replaced a broken screen of an apache with a new one and when i turn it on the screen turns on and is white, when I look at it side on I can see the devices screen is working but it is faded, e.g the today screen is there but very faded.
I was wondering what could be the problem?

I replaced my screen recently as well and had a similar issue. Make sure the ribbon cable coming off the screen is attached correctly - you'll need to raise the black bar on the connector, push the cable all the way in, and lower the bar to make full contact.
