Default 8 GB Micro SD Card works too in my Touch Dual

And, SanDisk also provides a USB reader (looks more like a very cheap version of an USB Stick...

I paid around US $ 150

Just thought I'd add that I purchased an 8Gigabyte ScanDisk Card (with USB adapter) for just over £50 (GBP) - $100 (US) and it work like a dream - no access delay and just under 8GB of available space.

I've also heard that ScanDisk are due to release a 16GB version in early 2008?

Hey,
did you need any software update in order make an 8GB card running on XDA STAR. I'm just coming from an O2 store and they gave me an extract of a spreadsheet were they listed the xda star under 2GB max. storage devices.

Any comments?

Cheers,
Yves

It didn't work in my HTC Touch Dual!

I bought a 8GB Sandisk Micro SDHC card... put it in my Touch Dual... and bam... No more than 2GB.

How can that be?

8GB Sandisk working perfectly in my Uk T-Mobile Touch Plus. No issues seen at all with it.

Well... My problem here is... Is it the Flash Card that is ****ed up or is it that I have the only Touch Dual in the whole world that doesn't have the capabillity to read 8gb Micro SDHC cards.

I have used a storage tool program to figure out the cards specs(Computer can't read it through the SD adaptor for some reason) and here is what i got:

Total: 1.8 GB

Type: Fat16
Sector Size: 512 Bytes
Cluster Size: 32 KB

For what I know, this should be a Fat32 because Fat16 can't have storage space beyond 2 GB.The rest I don't know because I haven't researched this enough to get a science degree. I have tried to format the card to Fat32 with several Cluster Sizes with no result in getting a bigger storage space.
At some point this seems like a 2GB but on the outside it looks clearly like an 8GB card. So if this is a fake, then it is a pretty damn good one.

What do you think?
