igo - locked program

i have the cruise bundled with i-go navigator software
i upgrade my memory card but to run the igo i must use the original memory card
.
is a way to bypass that ? thx

Firstly, I know very little about iGo, but would like to get hold of v8 myself - it seems to have be delayed.

A memory card is a memory card isn't it? The only difference being the size.
Have you tried copying all the files over to the new card using exactly the same file structure? You need to include any hidden files in the copy.
If this still doesn't work check out that the name of the new card is the same as that for the old card.

I know that this method works fine with TomTom, so I would hope it works with iGo too.

you can't copy the files into a large memory card.

the iGO work only from the original cards.

it's a protected card. (SD = Secure Digital)

my iGo works from a non iGo card.

I have the iGo software as well... unfortunately... the iGo is delivered with on a SD Card. However, the HTC touch cruise only accepts micro SD as a memory card.

I tried copying the content from the SD card to a micro SD card, but it won't install from there.

Me thinks that it's supposed to... a kind of copy protection.

Dirty_dog, how were you able to work that one around?

ill see if it will copy to another SD Card when i can borrow one tomorrow.
can you see the file structure of the card to compare?

it wont work.
iGo software will work only from the SD card delivered!

If you want to use iGo on a different card, you have to use the cracked version!
