I thought that ROM came with the package built in? Certainly, the Lights program ran perfectly fine out of the box for me, without needing to install any of the stuff from the CA site. The initial message I get also indicates that hardware acceleration is being used.

True, but I uninstalled the drivers that came with the ROM to install the updated ones, which do not work on romeos 3.5, unfortunatelly. I'll try to install the old cab now.

Update: Installed the original driver cab (automatically uninstalled the updated cab) - lights.exe worked right away at high fps.

Something in updated cab makes it incompatible with ROMeOS 3.5

The updated cab does not work on the L26 diamond V9 also. I did the dll checker it came back ok, but none of the test apps work all getting errors on start up. I'm going to load the old cab and see if they still work.

Same here the old drivers still work. Must be something in the new cab.

Just an intermediairy response...

we're aware the fix for the official ROMs broke some chef's ROMs compatibility. For those interested it has to do with a mutex handle that has to hijacked in runtime. The old cab did it one way that worked with some ROMs, the new cab did it in another way that seemed safer. However, different DDI versions in new cooked ROMs rained on our parade.

Same rom here and same issue. Removed the new driver, soft reset, and installed the old driver. Everything works as it should again.

Also, Is there a way to change the identifier so that the other apps looking for the most common 3d hardware will recognize it as a valid chipset?

Thanks for all the hard work.
