Did you install it over the previous version Treo750-2.23-RWE ?
What changes or improvements did you find ?
The update file is thinner, is there anything missing compared to the Treo750-2.23-RWE version ?

Thx for the link, though I don't understand what they do at Palm development dept. OS and Radio are lower version as ATT firmware and to make it even worse, this version still got the backlight bug. Weird ****....are they sleeping instead of fixing?

I assume the above link is Treo_750_2_27_ROW_EN_Destopupdater.zip
that is not the same version on palm.com/th. The right version should be Treo_750_2_27_ROW_APAC_EN_Destopupdater.zip

I downloaded this version Treo750_2_27_ROW_EN_DesktopUpdater and when i run it it says my version is newer or the same as que one on the 750...

I have a unlocked 750 with ROM 2.23RWE installed.

Any idea ?

You may need to change the payloads.xml file in the temp folder the installer creates. Not sure what to change yet since I have not tried this update myself yet.

Can anyone else confirm that this update is actually worse than the 2.23 firmware? Backlight bug? Radio version?

I did the update. Changed the versions in the payloads.xml file.
Update from 2.23 to 2.27 went fine. Changes i found were newer carrierdb, newer cappackage, newer radio firmware.

I also did the same on the payloads.xml and it worked just fine
