Hi all,

I sometimes got the error message "the system cannot find the file specified" while using Library of Media Player on my PPC's storage card. However, this can be fixed by deleting folder MSMETADATA then running Update Library again.

I usually update my music files by drag-and-drop rather than sync with Media Player on PC. I would like to know what the cause of this error is very much.

a. Is drag-and-drop related to the problem?
b. I found a registry value "AddDeletedFiles" located at path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\P references.
Is it related to this problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Ive been having this problem aswell, somehow media player loses the storage card and I have to update again, this however wont work untill I remove that MSDATA dir you mentioned.
