Default Certificate install fails

I installed this version of wm6 on my 4700 and i cannot install certificates when you try to install a certificate it tells you the certificate can not be installed. I can install the certificate on my other wm6 device not a 4700 just fine. does any body have any ideas or a fix?

Quick translation of Kozhura's message:

"I am no longer doing rom, the time I do not have any, and the machine has long been sold (a week ago)."

That's a shame!

Cheers, Chief

Default The Kozhura ROM 6.1 is dead

After Kozhura's announcement that he will no longer be doing a WM6.1 ROM for the 4700, it seems that this will become the thread to watch with respect to a WM6.1 ROM. Thanks Kozhura!

Sanjay, just installed flashed the ROM as of yesterday, and it works very well! Thanks for your time and share . I think the overall experience is faster than WM6.0, but maybe that's just me. The keyboard is great and is not an eyesore anymore!

Regarding to another comment about the RAM on your ipaq, is it really worth the time and money to get the hx4700 upgraded to 128MB by PPC Techs? I think they are the only company who is still offering the service, and last I checked, it was $159 to get it upgraded.

I tried to install GPSGate after flashing, which installed okay, but it wouldn't run.

Any ideas?

Andy

Edit: please ignore - self-induced issue!

I am saddened to hear that Kozhura will not be doing more ROMs. This was to be an interim until he returned with a working release of wm6.1. So you may be right that this is where we could hear about others. I hope someone with Kozhura's talent will pick up from where he's left us.

You're welcome and yes it does indeed appear to be faster than WM6. Now that Kozhura has sold his 4700, I truly hope there is some other genius that can replace him here. I will surely miss him. Hopefully he will still contribute to the forum and guide others.

Yes in my opinion the 128mb upgrade was worth it for the 4700 when I did it a few years ago. I have seen other reviews that under WM5-6 it doesn't make much difference - but the way I see it, more memory can't possibly hurt. However, now that the HP210 is available at $399, I would have to think hard about spending $159 on just the memory upgrade for a beloved, but old device.

I want to try this ROM but I also want to add my favorite programs in this ROM also.If no rgu files, then I have to manually add and edit it.
I am working with WM6.1 ROM for ASUS P525 and fixing WiFi error with no success , so no time to build Hx4700 WM6.1 from scratch.
BTW,thanks.

Vivi,

I assume (because I don't have it) that Kozhura's last 6.1 ROM still had the RGU files. Do you think they would be useful to bring back into this one? Otherwise, the 6.0 ROM had them so maybe they would help to save time? Not sure how much has changed from 6.0 to 6.1. Just a thought...

Regards,
Sanjay
