I did run Olipro's unlocker first, which you might try if you haven't yet. I think the latest one is under the "how not to brick your..." thread.
That what I did for people who don't like changing files. Above they can just download and execute.

hi
if i have read the last few posts correctly then the 1.57 radio link as provided by marbury does not require my 7501 to be unlocked and when run will not hard reset my device so I won't have to re-enter all info?
Is this correct?
thanks for responses.
cheers

No slowdown on my device. This radio patch fixed bluetooth static heard in both directions when I was running 1.47. I won't go back.

would like an answer to this to. my athena x7501 is currently standard, have not used hardspl and want to go to ap4.0 which as some might know require radio 1.50 or higher. so i would like to run marbury's update for radio 1.57 (as my radio is 1.47) and go straight to ap4.0 and bypass the older hardspl as i have had issues with it. (as seen in my previous posts)

any help is appreciated

Red face Radio upgrading to 1.57

Im currently on radio version 1.16 and using pk.3.0 rom. (i dont know why my radio did not upgrade before i installed the pk 3.0 even though i followed the procedures on how to upgrade it-anyway, its working fine so i didn't bother upgrading it anymore). Not until now that there is a 1.57 radio version that I would like to upgrade it already. My question is how I can do the upgrade from my current version to 1.57. Ive read in the previous posts that it has to be installed in the sd card? I tried downloading Mabury10's link but only get garbled characters in my computer. Is there a step-by-step procedure on how to do the radio upgrade that you could give me? Your help will be very much appreciated.

Default I am obviously a moron

The second 4.0 was available, I downloaded it an read the instructions.
I need a new radio and have download 1.57, but I can not flash it from the SD card (formatted FAT32, changed name ti ATHEIMG.nbh, entered bootloader and all I get is white screen that says "loading" forever) and I can't find instructions on how to upgrade a radio (have only ever upgraded complete ROM.)
I have spent the entire time since the thing was released looking for directions on how to upgrade the radio.
Feeling like a moron, but needing help.
