G4 and wifi problem

I have an O2 XDA Neo (htc prophet), with the O2 ROM (german rom) i had no problems connecting to internet through my pc using wifi, but when i updated to a french ROM (RUU_Prophet_215738_2157127_023021_QTEK_FRE_Ship_N oVendorID) i can connect to the pc, but can't access internet, it says "page introuvable" (page not available or smth like that). I get the same thing when i tried wifi in public places (university, cafés...)
I tried everything, changing configurations on xda and pc ... still nothing, and this is my second XDA Neo with the same problem (I bought a new one thinking it was a hadware problem, but obviously not since it worked before with the german rom)... Help !! I really need wifi at the university !!

Guys, I tried to connect with GPRS but the same problem occured "page cannot be foud...", so now I can only use connection through my usb cable !!

Have you tried using a WM6 ROM and seeing if the problem continues? If you want a language other than english, try one of Gullums Coffee ROMs.

actually i thought of it and i'm using a wm6 now, for the GPRS it just needed some settings (the proxy server port ...) and it works fine. But for wifi still the "page cannot be found" error

ok now it's working, I don't know how or why, but today i was able to use internet through wifi in a café. At last I'm 100% satisfied about my ppc

Ok I have the xda terra/ Herald 100 but the german rom i dont speak Duetch is there anyway I can switch it over to English?

Have a look at the Herald forum here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=348
You will need to flash a ROM onto the herald, but I haven't got one so I can't help with that...

Hey I got this http://rapidshare.com/files/49315340...94.90_Ship.exe I tried flashing it but it goes to 2% and then come back error 294 invalid vendor ID

I don't know anything about the Herald. Try looking at that forum and posting there.

I'd guess from that however that your device is either CID Locked or no HardSPL has been applied. Please look at the Herald Forum for that.
